I support purpose-oriented individuals, groups and organisations to thrive with Life

Supporting the Supporters

Are you a social or ecological justice based not-for-profit, charitable or private organisation whose employees support others to find their way out of challenging times and thrive with life?

I offer trauma-informed somatic practice to support the supporters.

When an organisation remains unresponsive to the wellbeing of employees, the culture of the entire organisation is impacted: burnout, conflict, disconnection and diminished wellbeing.

The supportive organisations of today need trauma-informed wellbeing approaches that support the supporters so that they are resourced and well equipped to remain regulated and present within their roles.

Trauma-Informed Somatic Practice emphasises awareness of the body and internal sensations during movement, focusing on how you feel rather than achieving specific fitness goals. It can help release built-up emotions, manage mental health, and improve physical well-being.

Through Somatic Practice, I gently support supporters in slowing down, attuning to their own bodies and building a lived experience of resilience, presence, responsiveness and connection that will positively impact the culture of the workplace.

The benefits of Somatic Practice in the workplace are many.
Somatic Practice supports participants to:

  • Grow Resilience, Responsiveness and Adaptability: By supporting wellbeing, teams are more connected and able to remain grounded under pressure
  • Develop Empathy, Collaboration and Communication Skills: Through fostering connection between employees through shared practice, employees build relational safety and trust in team dynamics
  • Heighten Imagination and Creative Capacity: A regulated nervous system invites innovation, insight and flow, bringing fresh ideas into the workplace
  • Cultivate Safety in the body: A felt sense of internal safety can contribute to a wider sense of relational safety and mutual respect across the workplace
  • Strengthen Emotional Regulation: Somatic tools support employees to better manage stress, stay present in conflict, and make decisions from a grounded state
  • Reduce Burnout: Productivity becomes more sustainable when people discover how to listen to their own bodies and pace themselves

Somatic Practice will support the individual and collective wellbeing of employees by:

  • Supporting of the Mind – Body Connection
  • Being accessible to Diverse Bodies
  • Increasing Personal Awareness
  • Boosting Resiliance
  • Enhancing Overall Physical and Mental Wellbeing
  • Alleviating Symptons of Anxiety, Depression and Stress
  • Reducing Burn Out.
